Football Victoria handed Capital Football’s U13 boys side their first loss of the 2020 FFA National Futsal Championships, defeating the home side 5-0.

Victoria took an early lead through Lucas Green after Joshua Milicevic fell over in his own half, leaving him one-on-one with Dylan Peraic-Cullen. Green doubled Victoria’s lead five minutes later, sliding the ball under an onrushing Peraic-Cullen.

Capital Football’s Cassidy Schlesinger rattled the crossbar with a spectacular free-kick, but it was Victoria who scored next as Alexander Ditommaso passed the ball into the net after a brilliant pass by the dominant Green.

Capital Football weren’t without their chances though, as Milicevic missed narrowly, hit the post and then smashed the crossbar moments later.

It was a tense first half and it wasn’t a surprise when the first yellow card was shown in the second half to Milicevic.

Despite Capital Football’s pressure in the second half, inaccurate shooting hurt them as Football Victoria sat back and held their line.

Capital Football was left frustrated and were soon down a man after Milicevic received his second yellow card and his marching orders.

Football Victoria capitalised within seconds, as Marc Petheriotis scored his first for the game. Football Victoria rounded out the game with a goal in the final seconds as Hur Ali Doostizadah slotted the ball into the empty net.
