The 2026 Mitre National Futsal Championships kick off at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre tomorrow as the best futsal players from across the country meet for Australia’s pinnacle futsal event, hosted by Football Queensland in partnership with Experience Gold Coast.
The biggest event on the national futsal calendar returns to Queensland from Tuesday, 13 January to Saturday, 17 January following the overwhelming success of the 2024 tournament held on the Gold Coast.
“We’re delighted to welcome players, coaches, officials and families from across Australia to the beautiful Gold Coast this week for the 2026 Mitre National Futsal Championships,” FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
“The tournament will showcase the skills of the most talented futsal players from each state across five action-packed days as Member Federation sides vie for national honours.
“I’d like to thank Experience Gold Coast for their support in bringing the tournament back to our state for the next three years as we work together to establish the Mitre National Futsal Championships as an unmissable event for locals and visitors.
“Best of luck also to all players, coaches and officials participating in this year’s tournament; we look forward to seeing you in action throughout the week.”
“Hosting the National Futsal Championships is a huge coup for our city,’’ said Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate.
“The five-day program has attracted the best players from each state and territory. I applaud Football Queensland and all affiliate clubs for committing to the Gold Coast for the next three years.’’
