2026 Mitre National Futsal Championships Day 5 Wrap!

The 2026 Mitre National Futsal Championships came to a thrilling conclusion today as National Champions were crowned on Day 5 and Football NSW claimed a third straight Member Federation Championship with an impressive five Grand Final wins.

73 goals were scored in the final day of competition, with a total of 1,524 goals recorded across 293 games in an action-packed tournament that delivered plenty of highlights.

In the Under 12 Boys, Football Queensland White took home the trophy in a tightly-contested clash over Football West.

The Under 13 Boys Grand Final saw Capital Football claim a national title in style as they secured a 2-0 win over Football Queensland Maroon.

The Under 13 Girls delivered a final-day thriller meanwhile as Football Queensland Maroon and Football NSW Thunder followed up a 1-all draw in regular time with an edge-of-your-seat penalty shootout, with host side Football Queensland coming out on top with a 5-4 result.

Queensland sides continued their fine form in the Under 14 Boys as Football Queensland Maroon secured the national title with a convincing 3-1 win over Football West.

In the Under 15 Boys, Football NSW Metro ended their tournament on a high with a 6-2 victory against Football West while in the Under 15 Girls, Football Queensland Maroon nabbed the national title with a close 2-1 win over Football NSW Thunder.

The Under 16 Boys Grand Final proved just as competitive in an all-NSW clash as Football NSW Thunder defeated Football NSW Lightning in a tight 3-2 encounter.

The Under 17 Girls Grand Final delivered an absolute classic as Football Queensland secured the national title with a 3-1 win on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regular time.

In the all-NSW Youth Men Grand Final, Football NSW Thunder overcame Football NSW Lightning in a tightly-contested 3-2 clash to take home the trophy, while Football NSW Metro recorded a 4-3 win over Football Victoria to claim the national title in the Youth Women.

New South Wales nabbed their final trophy of the day in the Open Women as the Football NSW Thunder side put three goals past Football NSW Lightning.

The final match of the day produced one for the books in the Open Men as Football Victoria secured the national title with a 3-0 penalty shoot-out victory over Football Queensland following an intense 1-1 draw in regular time.

In the AWD competition meanwhile, Football Queensland took home their sixth trophy of the tournament thanks to a 4-3 win against Football NSW Thunder.
